You know that you can make a healthy and tasty dessert with vegan dessert recipes. But, often when the idea of a vegan or vegetarian cake comes to mind it is a plain old chocolate cake or an ice cream cake. I am here to tell you now that these ideas have been around for a long time. There is such a thing as a vegan chocolate cake. It does not even have to be vegan or vegetarian if you do not want it to be.

There are many vegan desserts recipes that call for vegan peanut butter. The first time I had ever made this dessert, it was with coconut cream. There is no way that I could have called it vegan dessert recipes if I had used any milk. My little experiment with vegan chocolate cake failed miserably. I needed to come up with something better.

I knew that there were some vegan desserts recipes that were not only delicious, but they were also very easy to prepare. They did not take hours to make and they were not going to ruin my sweet tooth. After my quest for a healthier and more flavorful dessert I stumbled upon a sweet potato pie. This pie has a delicious flavor and a wonderful texture. For breakfast I often times take it for lunch and I love it because it has a great taste and great health benefits.

I found that there are vegan desserts recipes that called for either vegan cream or vegan icing. The nice thing about making a pie is that you can substitute one or more of the ingredients for the other. It is important that the pie ingredients are cooked through so that they do not steam while baking. The key to great vegan desserts recipes is using quality ingredients. If the ingredients are not cooked through then they will not hold the right texture when baked.

Here is one of my all time favorite vegan dessert recipes. I have made this vegan apple crisp recipe countless times since I first made it several years ago. The best thing about this recipe is that it is extremely healthy. I know that this is going to be a hard time for some people because it is very much different than what they usually eat. But just know that the natural sweetener that is used in this delicious vegan dessert is much healthier than a lot of the products on the market that use vegetable oils and other ingredients that are not good for you.

Making Process 

You will want to begin by preparing the pie ingredients. You will need two types of apples, a tablespoon of brown sugar and approximately three tablespoons of vegan shortening. All of these items can be bought at a local store as long as it is not prepared with gluten. Next you will need to begin rolling the apple into a ball. Once you have accomplished this task, you will then want to place the seeds in a food processor. Once the seeds have been sifted and mixed together, you will then want to take about two cups of the mixture and add in the brown sugar.

The next thing that you will want to do is turn the food processor on and put in the rest of the mixture. Once this is done you will then want to add in the vegan desserts mix. When the vegan desserts mix has been blended all you need to do is spoon it into a baking pan and pop it in the oven. Most of the no-bake bars like to have a pre-heated toaster to ensure that the bars don’t dry out before your guests arrive.

Conclusion

One other dessert that I have been making for a while is my own version of the vegan vanilla ice cream pie. This delicious dessert consists of a scoop of cold vegan yogurt, one-fourth cup of low fat milk, two tablespoons of organic maple syrup and a dab of vegan vanilla ice cream. For the pie recipe you will want to combine all of the ingredients except for the yogurt and then pour in the milk until the consistency is creamy. You will then add in the yogurt and let it set for about five minutes before removing it from the oven. When you are done with this you simply pour in the syrup and place in your freezer so that it will still be warm when you serve it to your friends!
